Care Instructions
Good jewellery lasts for generations when it is looked after.
Everyday wear
- Put your jewellery on last, after perfume, lotion, hairspray and make-up.
- Take it off for swimming, bathing, cleaning, cooking, the gym and heavy work.
- Avoid chlorine, bleach and strong cleaning products. They can mark or weaken metal.
- Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth after wearing, to remove sweat and oils.
Caring for gold
Gold is durable but soft, so it scratches against harder surfaces. Keep it away from other jewellery. To clean it, soak it briefly in lukewarm water with a drop of mild soap, brush gently with a soft brush, rinse and pat dry with a soft cloth.
Caring for silver
Silver darkens naturally over time when it meets air, moisture and some chemicals. This is tarnish, not damage. Wearing your silver often helps keep it bright. Polish it with a clean silver-polishing cloth, and keep it in an airtight pouch with an anti-tarnish strip when you are not wearing it.
Lightweight pieces
Our lightweight designs are made to be comfortable all day. Because they are slender, they are best treated gently. Do not pull, twist or bend them, take rings off before heavy lifting, and fasten clasps carefully.
Taweez
Keep a taweez dry and clean. Remove it before bathing or swimming and keep it away from perfume and oils. Handle the case with care, and do not force it open or closed.
Storage
Store each piece separately in a soft pouch or a lined box, in a cool, dry place. Fasten chains and bracelets so they do not tangle, and keep your jewellery away from direct sun, heat and damp.
Repairs and cleaning
If a clasp loosens, a stone looks unsteady, or a piece bends, stop wearing it and message us before it gets worse. We are happy to advise on repairs and professional cleaning for pieces you bought from us.
